This post is something of an experiment. My February post of Southampton FC weekly
salaries is my most frequently viewed post in more than a year and it still gets
dozens of hits each week through Google searches. I was curious as to whether a similar post
about a more famous club would draw more page views or whether it was just some
weird flukey thing.
A post with some Manchester United salaries as of the FM
2015 February database can be found here.
As I stated in my priors FM based salary lists, I have no
idea how accurate these figures are and they do not take into account
performance bonuses. On the other hand,
during the summer of 2014 when I was considering Financial Fair Play issues
FM’s base salaries fairly closely corresponded to the information released by
Southampton FC for the players’ salaries as a whole. I have not undertaken the research necessary
to determine if the same is true for Manchester United since I do not follow
Manchester United except incidentally.
The salaries are in thousands of pounds per week.
